Nala At Home

Nala is a wonderful pet and valued member of the family. A friendly and loving dog. Calm and relaxed in the home.

Yet bubbly and enthusiastic on walks or socialising with other dogs at the local Viz Whizz. She is a great natural hunter in the field and excels when competing in Gundog Working Tests.

Hungarian Wiredhaired Viszlas are an intelligent dog that, with patience, are easy to train. Whether it be for:

  • Family pet
  • Obedience
  • Tricks
  • Canicross: Trail running
  • Agility
  • Ringcraft
  • Gundog Working Tests
  • Hunting
  • Therapy work
  • Search & Rescue

Hungarian Wirehaired Vizslas have a long puppy phase (upto 1 year), and we found Nala’s high energy when she was young challenging; requiring us to have lots of patients and understanding.

The breed is suited to active households. As ‘working dogs’, they thrive in an environment where they are actively engaged, and training with an HPR specialist / club is advised.
